Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use www.edtuto.com or enrol for classes with EdTuto Academy, C-51, Old Govindpura, Parwana Road, Delhi 110051. By booking a demo or enrolling, you accept them.

1. What we provide

We arrange and deliver home tuition for Class 1 to 12, spoken English and personality development training, and foreign language courses, either at the student's home, at our centre, or online. We are a private tuition and training institute. We are not a school, we do not issue school-recognised certificates, and we are not affiliated to any board or university.

2. The free demo class

• The first class is free, with no advance payment and no registration fee.
• One free demo is offered per student, per course. Repeated demo requests for the same course may be declined.
• Attending the demo places you under no obligation to enrol.

3. Enrolment and fees

• We do not publish a fixed rate card. Your fee depends on the class, subject count, batch format, number of sessions and location, and is confirmed by our counsellor before classes begin. The fee quoted to you at that point is the one that applies.
• Tuition fees are payable monthly in advance unless agreed otherwise in writing. Language course fees are charged per level.
• Fees are paid to EdTuto Academy through the payment method we specify. Please do not pay a tutor directly in cash without informing the office, as we cannot record or protect such payments.
• Fees may be revised for a new session or a new level. Any revision will be told to you before it applies.
• Certification exam fees for Goethe, DELF, DELE, JLPT, TOPIK, IELTS and similar exams are paid by you directly to those bodies and are not included in our fees.

4. Refunds and cancellation

• If you cancel within 7 days of paying the first month's fee and fewer than four classes have been held, we refund the unused portion after deducting the classes already delivered.
• After that period, the current month's or current level's fee is non-refundable, but you may stop at the end of that month or level without penalty.
• If we cannot provide a tutor or cannot run a batch, we refund the affected fee in full.
• Approved refunds are processed within 15 working days to the account the payment came from.

5. Classes, timings and missed sessions

• The schedule is fixed between you and the tutor or batch coordinator at the start.
• If a tutor misses a class, it is made up at no cost.
• If a student misses a class without at least 4 hours' notice, it is treated as delivered. With notice, the tutor will make a reasonable effort to reschedule within the same month.
• Batch classes missed by a learner can be covered by sitting in another batch that week, subject to space.
• Classes may not run on national holidays and on days announced in advance.

6. Changing your tutor

If the tutor is not the right fit for the student, tell the coordinator. We will assign a replacement at no additional charge. There is no lock-in period and no penalty for requesting a change.

7. Tutor verification and conduct

Every tutor is checked for identity and qualification, and tested on the subject, before being assigned. Tutors are engaged as independent professionals, not as our employees. They are required to be punctual, professional and appropriate at all times.

If a tutor behaves inappropriately, misses classes repeatedly, or asks you for money outside the agreed fee, report it to us on +91 97170 17834 or hello@edtuto.com. We take such reports seriously and act on them.

8. What you agree to

• Provide accurate contact details and inform us if they change.
• Provide a safe, appropriate and reasonably quiet space for home classes, with an adult present in the home for classes with a minor.
• Not engage a tutor introduced by us privately, outside our arrangement, for the duration of the engagement and for six months afterwards. This protects both the tutor and the standard of service, since a privately arranged class carries none of our verification, replacement or support.
• Not record, copy or redistribute class material or online sessions without permission.

9. Results

We commit to qualified teaching, regular practice and honest progress reporting. We do not guarantee any particular marks, grade, exam result, admission, visa outcome or job. Any figure quoted on this site describes past experience and is not a promise about your result.

10. Website content

The text, layout, graphics and material on this website belong to EdTuto Academy and may not be copied or republished without written permission. We try to keep timings and course details accurate and current, but details can change.

11. Limitation of liability

Our liability in connection with the services is limited to the fee you have paid for the month or level in which the issue arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

12. Privacy

How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Delhi. Before going to court, both sides agree to attempt to resolve the matter directly — most issues are settled with a phone call.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top of the page when we do. Continuing with classes after a change means you accept the updated terms.
